Santa Clara

 

Santa Clara is an exciting city to the immediate west of San Jose. This city is home to many young professionals and big employers such as Applied Materials, Intel, McAfee, Nvidia, Synaptics, and Santa Clara University. The city also offers great restaurants and attractions, such as California's Great America amusement park and the home stadium of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers. Westfield Valley Fair is an upscale retail destination located close to Santa Clara’s eastern boundary with San Jose. This high-end shopping center has over 230 businesses such as Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, and Nordstrom department stores. Valley Fair restaurants include Din Tai Fung, a premier Asian eatery with outstanding dim sum. Valley Fair is within a short walk of San Jose’s premium Santana Row shopping street. Pedro’s Restaurant & Cantina is a popular Santa Clara spot for Mexican food. Enjoy dinner with a live mariachi band or head to Pedro’s on Sundays to indulge in a Mexican brunch buffet. El Camino Mongolian BBQ is another great international dining choice with customizable bowls of meat, noodles, and vegetables.

 

California’s Great America is a sprawling amusement park with thrilling roller coasters, themed zones, and family-friendly activities and rides. Other Santa Clara attractions include the Intel Museum’s tech-focused exhibits, artworks and historical artifacts at Santa Clara University’s de Saisset Museum, and contemporary artwork at Triton Museum of Art. Levi’s Stadium is home to the San Francisco 49ers. This state-of-the-art stadium also hosted Super Bowl 50, the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship, WrestleMania 31, and soccer games between top European clubs and international teams. The Mission Santa Clara de Asís church on the Santa Clara University campus is a symbolic landmark of the city.

 

Most public schools in Santa Clara belong to the Santa Clara Unified school district.
